These are a few few of the latest photos of paint can art.

These are the pencils for tomorrow’s comic!

The pencils were created using Sketchbook Pro and my Intuos 4 tablet. For those of you more curious about the process you can take a look at my Ustream channel ( http://www.ustream.tv/channel/drawing-lost-the-webcomic ) and see some comics being made.
Which reminds me I really need to start broadcasting again, it is very helpful in the creation process… ie I spend less time being distracted by twitter/webcomics/IM’s and more time actually drawing.
Make sure you check back tomorrow to see the finished comic!
Here we have the first bit of aftermath following that “soccer style” kick from the last comic.
I tried something a bit different in today’s strip, you’ll notice panel three is both longer and borderless both of these techniques were meant to achieve the effect of an awkward pause. I do believe the did that, hopefully you all think so as well. Please comment and let me know if you agree that it worked, or if you think it was a horrible failure.
This is a character from the first comic strip I created, his name is RugRat and he appeared in “The Adventures of RugRat” which involved him getting blown up several times… poor RugRat…. he never got the respect he thought he deserved… every once in awhile I drag him out for a cameo appearance in one form or another. I do wish I could remember the details of the comic…. I do recall it was about RugRat coming to grips with the fact fact that his robot friend was gay other than that and lots of getting blown up I am drawing a blank…
So I went with another wordless comic here, hopefully it served to move the story forward and provide a slightly poignant moment.

More of the goodness that is random paint can art!
Comic #178 Two men were sitting over coffee, contemplating the nature of things, with all due respect for their breakfast. “I wonder why it is that toast always falls on the buttered side,” said one. “Tell me,” replied his friend, “why you say such a thing. Look at this.” And he dropped his toast on the floor, where it landed on the dry side. “So, what have you to say for your theory now?” “What am I to say? You obviously buttered the wrong side.”
August 24th, 2009 | by KeithOnce again we try to capture a poignant moment with as few words as possible. The last panel was a bit of an experiment as well, in the original sketch it was an enclosed panel but I decided that opening the side up like that sort of let the moment flow out of the confines of the page. At least that was the intent.
